Many of the bloggers I've seen and read seem to like picnik.com.

I recently downloaded PhotoScape, and I am very very happy with it. It's fast, and very user friendly.
I can do so much with it, I love making photo mosaic with it.
I'm still in the process of discovering new stuff there but I use it a lot!
And I kicked Picasa out of my computer again. I didn't like how that program tries to take over everything.
Downloading my pictures, rearranging them. It was all over the place, and I don't want that.
I also use Picture Manager to adapt my pictures for use on the web,( you know, making them less heavy, how do you say that?) I haven't found that option on PhotoScape yet?

Sorry, Picasa didn't work for you.
I love to use it for my file sorting and renaming.
It's much easier for me to find anything in my close to 66.000 files ;)

I haven't downloaded PhotoScape yet. My Internet is acting up big time.

And making files smaller - resizing?

Correct, resizing!!

:)

I managed to make a mosaic on Photoshop yesterday, so I just wait with the download of Photoscape until I get my Internet line stable again.

Here are a bunch of articles about different graphic software...the majority of it free, online, or open source software.
